just recently I had sculpted a concept bust of Raphael from tmnt
so I decided to step it up and create a 3D concept paint over for me to get a clear idea on how I should go about the texture let me know what do you think
used the following softwares to create this image:
Zbrush, Maya, rendered using Arnold, paint overs in Photoshop

I'm not normally a huge fan of the turtles but DAMN that's impressive lol I love the lighting texture you got; makes it look like he just came out of a sewer! And the cobblestone textures of the head look pretty damn awesome. Beautiful work!

A touch of "uncanny valley" is fine, it's challenging, gives you perspective, by the way my favourite part of your pic are the eyes, they are so beautiful, they look as if he were alive

I love the expression, he's very cool. Plus, in terms of anatomy, the way you adapted him to a realistic design is very creative and pertinent.

The hex texture on the head would probably look good on the shoulders, maybe a bit more pronounced
I very much enjoy it and looks wodnerful liek raph is a bit older maybe 18, and looks happy. love the texture it feels and looks right.
Truly you gave him new life and even personality. He looks worn and even a little wise. Not as brash as he's so often portrayed. I'm very, impressed as many other no doubt are.

The difference between the turtle skin and the mask is tremendous and you can just envision this anthromorphic turtle wearing an actual mask.
Overall this is a worthwhile texture and I'm glad I stumbled across it; especially as a die-hard life long TMNT fan!
